BROOKLYN, SUSAN COLLINS tells the remarkable true life musical story of
how she emerged from singing a cappella on the street corner of her Brooklyn
housing project in the 1960s to an insider's career as a singer songwriter,
working with JIMI HENDRIX, TODD RUNDGREN, BRIAN WILSON, KISS, JOHN LENNON,
and many more. The audience gets an up close and personal view of pop
culture history through SUSAN's alternately humorous and touching experiences:
in a landmark Greenwich Village coffeehouse with JIMMY JAMES, flying into
WOODSTOCK with RICHIE HAVENS, singing comedy with GILDA RADNER on SATURDAY
NIGHT LIVE with NBC's Not Ready for Prime Time Players, arena rock shenanigans
on the road with the ELECTRIC LIGHT ORCHESTRA, minting gold records as
a session singer, show biz heartache at the hands of a vengeful record
company executive, and ultimately, a happy family life, still singing
at the top of her game. SUSAN wrote the show's title music with he close
friend, the late legendary songwriter ELLIE GREENWICH. "You Can Take
the Girl Outta Brooklyn" is the last song that Ellie ever wrote. ___________________________________________________________________________

ED'S NEW CD IS AVAILABLE NOW!!!
It's
been a long time in the making, but "GETTIN' ORGAN-IZED" is
finally ready. This is Ed's first CD featuring him on Hammond Organ, and
here he is joined by the prodigious talents of Charlie Jones on guitar
and Don Guinta on drums. The material is mostly originals by Ed, with
a couple by Charlie, and 3 cover songs. Musically, it's all over the map
(if you know Ed, you'd probably expect that it would be), and attempts
to operate within the grand organ trio tradition while infusing it with
a rawness and energy not always heard in that bag.
